Dixon nominations in the annual TimeOut Pub Awards Banner

Dixon Hospitality is proud to announce the well-deserved nomination of multiple venues in the annual TimeOut Pub Awards

‘Pub Revival Award’ – The Crafty Squire and The Great Britain Hotel.

Formerly known as The Portland Hotel, The Crafty Squire underwent extensive renovations in the second half of 2015. The Portland Lane Café was transformed into a modern bar, offering relaxed dining. A complete overhaul of the first floor saw a previously dated and dreary function space transform into an inviting and contemporary dining room, bar and outdoor terrace.

Richmond’s iconic Great Britain Hotel received a much needed makeover, but still retained its quirky charm and personality. The facelift introduced a new kitchen and food offering, as well as a refurbished beer garden.

‘Best Sports Pub’ – Imperial Hotel Bourke Street and the Auburn Hotel.

Renowned as a sporting haven to Melburnians, it’s no surprise Imperial Hotel Bourke Street is a fan favourite. A 24 hour license, and an extremely dedicated and sport-mad Venue Manager, sees masses of punters lining up for both local and international matches at all hours of the day.

The historical Auburn Hotel has had a long love affair with sport, including ownership by AFL legend John Coleman in the 1940’s. Cold beer, a hearty menu and multiple TV screens makes it the perfect place for patrons to grab a seat and cheer on their team.
